The story of the mystical British official, who in the mid 1920s, disappeared into the central forests of Brazil in search of a lost civilization.
Percy Harrison Fawcett was a British military officer with a proclivity towards adventure and mysticism. In 1906, he was invited by the Royal Geographical Society of London to work on the demarcation of South American borders. There, he became obsessed with the idea of finding a lost civilization that he believed lay hidden somewhere in the central forests of Brazil - at the time, an uncharted region. After several failed attempts to find this lost city, Fawcett led a definitive expedition consisting of his son and an assistant; they never returned. Several rescue teams were sent after the explorer, but never achieving success, and each came back with different versions of Fawcett's fate.
